One warm rainy November morning it was a time for the new adventure. Navigating southbound St. John’s River. St. Johns River is the longest river in Florida! From its 310 miles path this post covers navigable part to Lake Monroe or about 155 land miles. St. John’s River must be the only river in the US to flow north! Another fascinating fact is that entire drop in elevation from its spring to the ocean is less than 30 feet (9 m) being likely the laziest river I have ever been on. And yet on its widest point is nearly 3 miles (5 km) across!

About a week ago I stumbled upon Sally Nixon’s website. Sally Nixon is an illustrator from Arkansas, USA. Her artwork of girls are so vivid and attractive that they centers attention upon itself. Sally’s online store is currently closed as she is on 365 illustration challenge and I look forward to re-open. Beautiful art Sally!
